How will the Pledge Manager and shipping work?

We are using Quartermaster Logisitics for our fulfillment and shipping. If you have backed the campaign, you will receive a link to confirm your shipping address and pay for shipping once the campaign ends. You will also have the opportunity to add additional copies of the game within the pledge manager.

If I add additional copies of the game to my reward level, what is the total shipping cost?

By adding additional copies, your total shipping cost will increase (due to the increase in weight) but you will save handling costs on a per copy basis. Please refer to the shipping table for more details. If you are interested in purchasing more copies please contact us directly at [email protected] or directly through Kickstarter.

Why is the shipping date so far in the future?

There are many steps to getting the game to you once the campaign ends. We have posted a timeline in our campaign that shows the step-by-step plan. We aim to under promise and over deliver on this time frame and will do whatever we can to get the game to you as quickly as possible.

What does ‘friendly’ shipping mean?

This means you won’t be paying import/customs fees and taxes when you get your pledge. Backers in the UK, European Union, Canada, United States, China and Australia will all be shipped ‘friendly’ meaning those import charges will not be passed on to you! Where possible, games will be shipped internally in that region by our fulfillment partner.

Can I get the game in my country if it's not listed?

Yes you can! Shipping options and estimates are available for the “rest of world”. Please note, any applicable charges (taxes etc..) will be charged to the backer.

I am a brick and mortar retailer shop and would like to carry your game, how can I do that?

You can pledge to our campaign by selecting the World’s Fair Retail Ambassador reward level. If you would like to purchase more copies of the game than the standard retail package, simply adjust your order in the pledge manager. If you have questions about bulk shipping, please reach out to us directly and would be happy to get you the information.

Can I pledge $1 now and upgrade to a full pledge in the pledge manager?

Yes! However, it is likely the price will increase after the campaign ends. Pledging a reward level now provides the best opportunity to back the game at the lowest level we will offer and enables you to contribute to stretch goals for all backers!

Can I change my reward level?

Yes! During the campaign you can change your reward level. Once the campaign ends however, you will be locked in to that level. If you want to purchase the game after the 30-day campaign you are able to do so but will be at the retail price.

Will there be a pledge manager?

Yes! We are working with BackerKit as our pledge manager. Once the campaign is over, you will be able to update your information and pay for shipping through a link that will be sent out to you.

Will there be foreign language translation for the rules?

This will depend on our backer’s interest and demand for a particular language. We will post updates as we get them, please stay tuned!

Is your game suitable for colorblindness?

We have worked to make sure that the colors in the game are as easily identifiable as possible while working with individuals who have different types of colorblindness.

Why are there reward levels that are showing as sold out?

As part of our promise to be transparent we wanted to make sure that the shipping information was as promised in the campaign. There was no change to any pricing or rewards with this switch. The individuals that already paid for shipping will be issued a refund for the shipping they already paid and have it rebilled through the pledge manager. Anyone backing going forward will only be paying for the game now and shipping after the conclusion of the campaign. Thank you for your understanding

Will the rulebook be translated in a different language?

Every game copy will receive a printed rulebook written in the English language. In addition, a QR code will be included to link directly to the rulebook. Because our board game is beginning to get more international exposure, we have had requests for our final rulebook to be translated into Spanish, German, Italian, Polish, and French. Once the Kickstarter campaign ends, each backer will be provided a survey through our pledge manager to indicate if they desire a translated language of our rulebook and to select an available language option for the translated rulebook. If there are at least 10 backers for each desired language listed above, then we will pay to translate the rulebook in that language and add an additional QR code to link directly to that translated rulebook. Rulebooks translated in a different language than English will only be provided in a web format for you to view or print. This will allow us to offer our game to more people without increasing costs to backers!

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
